Jim
joined Sotech in April 1998. Before joining Sotech he worked for CMG Consulting Ltd
in London developing ActiveX controls and Visual Basic components for clients. He is a
Microsoft Certified Solution Developer (MCSD) having passed Microsoft's
exams in Visual Basic 5 and SQL Server 6.5 as well as the two core Windows
Architecture Exams. In addition, Jim is a Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP)
in Windows 95 Support. Previous employers include IBM and the Inland
Revenue.
Jim is an experienced Client/Server Developer having
worked in the I.T. industry for 4 years. He is skilled in Visual Basic 5, Visual Basic for
Applications, SQL Server, Oracle, PL-SQL, Crystal Reports and SQL. Jim took over
the development and support of the Sotech Front Office System when he joined
Sotech. He was initially responsible for converting it from Gupta to Visual
Basic 5. Since then the system has gone through many enhancements which include adding;
Diary and Notes modules, underwriting functionality, Word Document automation,
Fax automation, Dealer Rates modules, and an Interface to CHP Consulting Ltd's
ALFA system. He is currently Development Project Manager at Siemens Finance Ltd.
